Description
The BOX COUNTER Small Part Contamination Monitor is a mobile contamination monitor developed for rapid gamma contamination control of laundry, waste bags, tools, equipment, and small parts within a shielded measurement chamber.
The BOX COUNTER assists in the safe evaluation of small parts, waste bags, and similar materials to be removed from radiation-controlled areas for contamination. Measurement results, alarm statuses, and fault information can be viewed via the control console.
The system consists of a shielded measurement chamber, large plastic scintillator detectors, a digital scale, an alarm column, and a touchscreen control console, all housed within a stainless steel mechanical structure. Access to the measurement chamber can be provided via four side doors.
The BOX COUNTER can be equipped with large plastic scintillator detectors supported by 10 mm lead shielding to reduce environmental radiation background. 2U, 4U, 6U, and 6U NORM version options are offered according to application requirements.
In the 6U version, six plastic scintillators can be utilized, with four detectors on the side doors, one detector on top, and one detector at the bottom. The 6U NORM version includes a 2”×2” NaI(Tl) detector and MCA in the upper section, in addition to plastic scintillators.
The touchscreen control software supports functions such as initiating measurements, analyzing, viewing, and saving measurement data, managing alarm thresholds, detector activity, calibration factors, quality control, and alarm/fault statuses.
