Description

The LAM-504 Liquid Activity Monitor is a fixed radiation monitoring system developed for the measurement of volumetric activity of gamma-emitting radionuclides within process liquids, steam, or steam-air mixtures in nuclear facilities.

The LAM-504 assists in the continuous monitoring of radioactivity levels in process circuits under routine operating conditions. The system operates with an ATL-type detector structure directly mounted on the measured pipeline, enabling measurements from an appropriate distance to the process line.

The GD-52 gamma detector is utilized with a NaI(Tl) scintillator crystal, lead collimator, and LED control/stabilization source. For high-temperature pipelines, YAP(Ce) crystal or cooled model options may be selected depending on the application.

The RPU-06 radiation processing unit and DIM-15 digital multichannel analyzer facilitate the processing, local display, archiving of measurement results, and monitoring of alarm levels. In the default configuration, the total volumetric gamma activity is determined according to the selected reference radionuclide.

The optional spectrometric function enables the identification and quantitative assessment of up to 16 gamma-emitting radionuclides. The RadSpec software is employed for configuring the device’s spectrometric parameters and for calibration procedures.
