Description
The LAM-562 Liquid Activity Monitor is a fixed radiation monitoring system developed for the continuous and spectrometric monitoring of the volumetric activity of gamma-emitting radionuclides in liquids within nuclear facilities and research centers.
The LAM-562 assists in the evaluation of radioactivity levels in liquids present within process circuits or in liquid effluents designated for controlled release into the environment. The system operates on the principle of passing liquid samples through a shielded measurement chamber.
The GD-52 gamma detector supports measurement stability with its NaI(Tl) scintillator structure and K-40 stabilization source. Measured spectra are processed, archived, and evaluated via the RPU-06 radiation processing unit and the DIM-15 digital multichannel analyzer.
The LAM-562 enables the identification of artificial radionuclides such as F-18, I-131, Cs-137, and Co-60, as well as natural radionuclides like K-40. Volumetric activity for up to 16 gamma radionuclides can be evaluated through spectrometric peak analysis.
The RadSpec software is utilized for device configuration, spectrometric parameter adjustment, and calibration procedures. The system can be integrated into facility radiation monitoring infrastructures via RS-485 Modbus RTU and Ethernet Modbus TCP interfaces.
