PIPE SCANNER LITE Pipe Surface Contamination Monitor

PIPE SCANNER LITE Pipe Surface Contamination Monitor

The PIPE SCANNER LITE Pipe Surface Contamination Monitor is developed for surface contamination measurement in pipe sections.

Description

The PIPE SCANNER LITE Pipe Surface Contamination Monitor is a compact pipe contamination monitor developed for radioactive surface contamination measurement on the inner and outer surfaces of pipe sections.

PIPE SCANNER LITE provides rapid and precise measurement support in nuclear facility decommissioning projects, the Oil & Gas industry, and applications requiring radiological control of pipe surfaces.

The system comprises a main support structure with a V-platform for carrying the pipe section to be measured, adjustable skids, a wheeled measurement trolley manually movable to the desired position on the base structure, NaI(Tl) detectors, a panel board, and a remote management computer.

Pipes can be placed on the platform with their inner surface facing up or down. This structure enables the system to be utilized for both inner and outer surface contamination measurements.

The number of detectors to be used for measurement can be selected based on the pipe diameter. While a single detector may be sufficient for smaller diameter pipes, configurations with up to 5 detectors can be employed for larger diameter pipes.

The position of the detectors can be manually adjusted independently in terms of height and orientation. This allows the measurement system to be easily adapted to different pipe diameters and geometries.

The PIPE SCANNER LITE software manages measurement initiation and monitoring, archiving of release reports, isotope, homogeneous group, and material type identification, quality control, and object scanning operations via a user-friendly interface.
