Description
The SATURN 5702 Gamma-Neutron Mobile Monitoring Station is a wheeled mobile radiation monitoring station developed for use in areas where combined gamma and neutron dose rate measurements are required.
The SATURN 5702 offers a practical solution for mobile monitoring needs, particularly in particle accelerator facilities, research centers, and controlled areas where radiation levels may be variable.
The system integrates an ICP-T or ICP-T-PF ion chamber-based gamma radiation monitoring unit with a LUPIN BF3 neutron rem counter detector on the same mobile platform. This allows for the simultaneous monitoring of gamma and neutron radiation fields from a single station.
Detectors and electronic units are positioned within a wheeled mechanical structure. The trolley height can be customized according to customer requirements; for example, detectors can be aligned with the beam line height.
Each detector can be removed from the mobile station and used remotely up to 20 meters when necessary. The ALU alarm column located on the upper section provides visual and audible notifications for normal operation, pre-alarm, and alarm conditions.
The detectors are connected to two separate SATURN ratemeter units housed in a 19” electronic rack. Each ratemeter provides local data display, signal processing, and alarm management for its respective detector. The system can connect to a remote host PC running 5700 sMON software via Ethernet or RS485/422 connection.
