Description
The EPDS-S Electronic Personal Dosimetry System is a dosimetry management system developed for the daily monitoring and recording of personal dose consumption for personnel working in small workplaces with ionizing radiation sources.
The EPDS-S enables the centralized monitoring of dose information obtained from electronic personal dosimeters for employees working in radiation-controlled areas. The system offers a practical solution for research centers, hospitals, nuclear medicine units, and small-scale nuclear/radiation applications.
The system comprises electronic personal dosimeters, TED-S terminals, a central database server, and administrator computers equipped with EPDS-S software. Terminals are positioned at controlled area entry and exit points to facilitate personnel identification via ID cards and the reading of dosimeter information.
The EPDS-S automatically accumulates E, Hp(10), and Hp(0.07) doses for employees over different time intervals and compares them with limits defined by regulations. In the event of limit exceedance, the system can automatically prevent the entry of the relevant personnel into the controlled area.
In addition to electronic dosimetry data, integral personal dosimetry results such as OSL or TLD can also be archived and evaluated. The system can maintain its basic functions with terminals during communication interruptions and allows for data management once the connection is re-established.
