Description
The SaphyGATE G Gamma Radiation Portal Monitor is a fixed radiation portal monitor developed for the automatic detection of radioactive sources in trucks, trains, and cargo loads.
SaphyGATE G assists in the radiation control of vehicle and cargo passages at industrial facilities, scrap metal recycling sites, border control points, ports, logistics centers, and nuclear facilities.
The system supports the detection of low-level gamma radiation sources with high-volume PVT plastic scintillator detectors. The detector structure provides radiation control by taking measurements during vehicle or cargo passage, minimizing disruption to operational flow.
Its intelligent algorithm helps reduce the false alarm rate by tracking the natural background attenuation that occurs during vehicle passage. With the optional alarm classification function, an assessment can be made for the discrimination between natural and artificial radiation sources.
With its durable structure featuring IP65 protection class, EMC-protected aluminum detector housing, and a central control unit with a touchscreen, SaphyGATE G offers a suitable portal monitor solution for long-term use in challenging field conditions.
