Description
The TED-S Electronic Dosimeter Terminal is a dosimetry terminal developed for the management of electronic personal dosimeters, the control of personnel entry and exit, and the recording of received doses in small workplaces.
The TED-S operates as the end-point terminal device of the EPDS-S electronic personal dosimetry system. It offers a practical solution for healthcare institutions, research centers, and small radiation-controlled areas that do not require detailed dose tracking in various locations or for different types of activities.
The terminal comprises a touchscreen, a computer for data archiving, an electronic personal dosimeter reader, and a personal identification card reader. This configuration enables the management of personnel or visitor entry and exit processes to and from radiation-controlled areas via a user-friendly interface.
The TED-S permits access to controlled areas only for individuals registered in the EPDS-S system who meet specified entry conditions. Entry conditions may be evaluated based on annual and five-year dose limits, Hp(10) and Hp(0.07) dose values, and controlled area entry qualifications.
During exit from the controlled area, the terminal automatically reads the dose information from the dosimeter and records it in the EPDS-S main system. In the event of connection interruptions, it can operate offline with a local database; data is automatically synchronized once the connection is re-established.
